We just celebrated our 2 year anniversary and decided to get away. Getting away doesn’t always mean getting far away. We stayed in Kentucky and enjoyed the local hospitality. First was Keeneland (horse racing) then we went to Bardstown and stayed in the Bourbon Manor Bed and Breakfast.
Dan saw horse number 9 and decided to make a bet! We won enough to pay for our food and visit to Keeneland. You can see Dan with his winning ticket! This horse track is absolutely beautiful, a must see! It is only open April and October so make your trip accordingly.
Here is the small town of Bardstown. We loved the Bourbon Manor B&B, including the 2 welcoming pups to the bourbon barn out back. Our room was the Mint Julep room and I was absolutely obsessed with the chandelier. Loved spending time with Dan, especially before he leaves for a year deployment. We may make B&Bs a tradition! What’s not to love about the hospitality and country cookin’!
